The Isolation of Freelancing
I recently recorded a video on how freelancing can be amazing, but also feel isolating and, as a result, have a negative impact on both productivity and mental wellbeing.
Isolation is, as described by Spanish writer and philosopher Miguel de Unamuno as “the worst possible counsellor”, and can be a challenge for us all, as highlighted by all your comments on Annie’s recent Blue Monday thread.
Freelance Heroes is an online community of UK freelancers and was created to serve a number of purposes. Most notably ensuring that these freelancers never feel alone and that the support on hand from their peers is as powerful, empathetic, and practical as it can possibly be.
